Harlev Property Management (Pty) Ltd is an exclusive firm, focusing on service rather than volume. We are selective about the buildings we manage and all our business is generated through word of mouth. We run Nedbank Corporate Saver and Investec bank accounts under our intermediary, Harlev Financial Services, which is registered with the FSB. This enables us to hold and manage not only levies (including separate Reserve Fund accounts), but rental deposits, corporate and individual's funds as well, our total cash book exceeding R30 million. We manage under 30 Bodies Corporate and Share Block Companies, mainly in the Glenwood/Berea/Musgrave/Morningside/Durban North areas. We pride ourselves on being pro-active in advising and guiding Trustees to ensure that they are compliant with various legislation, e.g. Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act, Community Schemes Ombud Service Act, rules, annual general meetings, 10-year maintenance plans, BCEA, OHS as well as issues regarding insurance, EUA, maintenance, disclaimer signage, contracts, sample resolutions etc. Financial management and debt collection is our focus. The managing director, Serena De Freitas, has also been a member of the NAMA KZN Committee since 2014 and is passionate about being "hands-on" with regards to all aspects of property management.
